Ho Ho Holidays Eureka Springs

Ho Ho Holidays in Eureka Springs are so much fun!  Eureka Spring’s holidays are chock-full of exciting events; almost too many to list!  Some of our absolute favorites:  Christmas Parade of Lights:  Town is fully decorated for the holidays and we kick off with the annual Parade of Lights Friday, December 1st.  One of Eureka’s very most anticipated parades and one of the few nighttime parades, we roll out at 6 pm with floats, walkers, bands and thousands and thousands of colorful lights. This year’s theme is “Peace on Earth”! Santa in the Park:  Dec 2nd and December 9th, Santa is in Basin Springs Park from 1 pm to 3 pm.   Give your Christmas List to Santa and grab a photo op!  Christmas tunes to delight all ages; kids will have a blast making an ornament and playing a few rounds of Christmas Cane Walk. (This hometown Christmas fun is brought to you by the Main Street Eureka Springs team.) Candlelight Christmas Tour of Homes:  Saturday Dec 2nd, 3 pm – 8 pm. Sponsored by the Preservation Society, it’s a fabulous walking tour of 9 of Eureka’s most beautifully restored homes, lavishly decorated for holiday season with Victorian-attired docents relating the history […]

October Pond Mountain Lodge

October is one of the best months to visit Pond Mountain Lodge, tucked away just moments from Eureka Springs, AR.  It’s the time of year you can really see the remarkable change in elevation on the Ozark Plateau as colors brighten all along the high ridges & down into the valleys. The weather is cooler & more temperate, the fish are biting up at our twin ponds & all of the scenic waterways near us. It’s a short drive to Beaver Lake, the Kings River & the White River for a picnic or afternoon pontoon cruise. October is dedicated to Eagle Watch & Fall Foliage tours with departures from Starkey Park at 11 am & 1 pm daily except Thursday. There are two active nests on the north end of Beaver Lake where the Belle of the Ozarks takes passengers on Eagle Watch Tours.  Captains Jay & Mary Anne Viator have been guiding tours for 27 years & are skilled birdwatchers.  The annual migration from Northern states has a a nice mixture of new friendly visitors that you can view right here at Pond Mountain.  Steve spotted 10 wood ducks cruising the ponds this morning. It’s a fabulous month for […]
